DJ Tango To Accept Calipso Bid For Herald, Ends Takeover Tussle
SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--Indonesia's PT Aneka Tambang (ANTM.JK) and China's Shenzhen
Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Co. (000060.SZ) said Tuesday they will accept PT Bumi
Resources Ltd.'s A$563.5 million bid for Herald Resources Ltd., ending a months
long takeover tussle for the base metals developer
In a statement, Antam and Zhongjin, through their bidding vehicle Tango Mining,
said they will not extend their cash offer for Herald, and plan to accept
Bumi's A$2.85 a share offer for the 38.3 million shares they own in Herald.
Bumi made the offer through its Calipso bidding vehicle.
Herald shares closed at A$2.91 Tuesday, down 1 cent.
