It might be looking a bit far ahead, but I've been thinking on and off about how jkstat might be integrated into OpenSolaris.
One could reasonably break jkstat into 3 components: - libkstat_jni - the core apis - the demos and examples So the question I've been asking myself is whether and how to split these up. In particular, should I aim to integrate the demos and examples with the core components? (I would expect them to be split off into a separate package.) Or do I just do the core components? One other possibility is to pick a subset of the demos (maybe even just the kstat browser) and concentrate on just providing that, and doing it well, ignoring some of the other junk that I've accumulated. I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions on these matters. Thanks, -- -Peter Tribble http://www.petertribble.co.uk/ - http://ptribble.blogspot.com/
