Nothing, as far as I'm concerned. Is that project still progressing?

While I didn't directly talk on this (perhaps I should have), I see the 
web service being on a somewhat dedicated system; one that's already 
running a web server. (Maybe a documentation server?) I don't see, nor 
want, every server in a shop having a web server running. That's just ugly.

Which-ever way works is fine, as long as the data is clean and available 
when needed.
