I would like to inform you about an incident that happened at the Standard
Bank ATM in Station Road this morning at around 10:30. My wife went to the
ATM to draw some money. A man squeezed in next to her and pressed a button
on the ATM which made the card come out again. He took the card and then
offered to "help" her since the ATM was supposedly giving problems. He then
asked her to hold a button down while he reinserted the card and then asked
her to enter the PIN. Realizing that it was a scam my wife took her card
back and said that she would rather use the machine right next to it.

When she tried to use the other machine a woman came along and tried the
exact same scam. She took her card and left.

I know that there have been problems at that ATM before, so I thought that I
should let you know about this attempted scam.

Take care,
