I'm also happy to pay towards it.

If they do some research, they will see that a lot of school kids walk down Arnold. The school at the top of Rochester street, a lot of their pupils walk down Rochester, then right into Arnold, then down Station again to avoid walking along Lower Main. This should count as something I'm sure.

If we do an actual headcount of pedestrian pupils I'm sure it will justify having speedbumps put in.

Sorry if I am "clogging" in-boxes. I investigated speed bumps/humps for Arnold St some years ago - we do not qualify - (no school, no old age home, etc) Can only be done if the residents pay themselves - at that stage the cost was approx R10 000 per bump/hump. 4 way stop would not help @ Bishop/Arnold as the distance is too great between Scott and Bishop. I live between the 2 and see the speeding daily. I am happy to pay R1000 - any other offers?

        <image001.jpg>

        With much sadness here is a RIP Kitty.

        If Kitty is yours please collect from the corner of station
        and I think Fir street - right on the corner where the
        cricket club is.

        I will attend to this Kitty later as I have stuff to do now
        - so if I get it I will take it to the Mowbray Vet in Durban
        Road near the Fat Cactus - where they will freeze it and keep
        it for a day or two before sending it on for a paupers burial
        if it is not claimed. I'll post a followup if I managed to
        recover the cat.

        Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news

        Trev
