Hi,

We just had failed OCFS2 file system, which was not fixed by running fsck.ocfs2. It was still possible to read from it, so I have setup new RAID10 formated using OCFS2 and copied all files to it. However, because we have 1.7 milion files, it took a lot of time to copy 'em. Original OCFS2 was created on top of RAID10 and with DRBD between. However, DRBD copy didn't help much because it was corrupted too.

Does anyone have suggestion on how to setup real-time, or near real-time, hot space backup, which would have independent copy all files. In case primary OCFS2 becomes unavailable or corrupted, this hot spare copy would be used without much delay. We would just change iSCSI initiators to use it as target, and cluster would be back up.

In old days, we use small program called lsyncd. It detects changes in file system, and does rsync of changed files/directories to remote location. Is there any more advanced program/solution I can use with OCFS2? Running rsync with number of files we have is too slow and can be used only for daily backups.

  Thanks,
  Nikola
