*Business Analyst – can pay up to $45/hr* *Location: Rockville, MD* Minimum requirements: Ability to communicate with the business and with IT Ability to gather requirements and create use cases Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications (data models, event models, reporting output) Ability to document analysis output in written form and initiate a charter Identifying and interviewing key individuals to gather needed details and direction to define business requirements Writing business cases, business requirements, functional specifications, and user acceptance test cases and test plans with minimal direction and coaching Maintaining Action Items, Issue Logs, and follow-up on open items Creating procedural documents and training material Juggling several projects efficiently despite resource and time constraints Organizing and participating in User Acceptance testing and logging results Performing quality control and complying with performance standards/best practices Being flexible regarding changes in priorities, tasks, technical issues, and other hurdles that may be encountered while completing the project Assisting in the delivery of a quality end product The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong BI knowledge and experience supporting the design and specification of data presentation and decision-making efforts. An extensive background as a Business Analyst with experience writing detailed business requirements, working with dedicated development team to continually articulate requirements on behalf of the business and troubleshooting production issues including new BI products, applications, data requirements and reports is required. This BIA will be responsible for acting as the primary interface between technology and specific product areas (business executives, research analysts, IT staff, etc.). They will identify business unit requirements, create project and process specifications, and will help coordinate information for project teams. A successful candidate will be knowledgeable of both technology processes (e.g. SDLC, QA) and the business area supported.
