I have tried installing the io-1.0.7.tar.gz package but get the following
errors
octave:1> cd /home/.......
octave:2> pkg install -verbose io-1.0.7.tar.gz

I am running the latest ubuntu distro and have Octave 3.0.0 installed using
Synaptic Package manager.
Could anyone tell me what the problem is?
