I only applied the patch because it was so straight-forward. I don't
have the domain knowledge to work on this package, so somebody else will
have to make the changes you suggest.

So, if somebody with knowledge in this domain is listening on the list,
now would be a wonderful time to step up if you would like to join the
development team :-)
