Instead of changing the marker size inside the code, I guess it would be be if options for the plotting system could be passed to the function. That way, the user can specify whatever marker size he or she wants. It looks like Matlab doesn't support this behaviour directly, but that shouldn't hold us back :-) Could I persuade you to try to implement something that allows the user to specify plot options?
