These warnings does not have any impact on how the package works. I've
fixed them in SVN, though.

I am unable to reproduce this. We have had several people complain about
the 'symbolic' package, so I'm pretty sure there are bugs somewhere. It
would be great if you (or somebody else for that matter) could help
provide insight into where the crash occurs as I am unable to reproduce
it.
