I've included a symbolic NaN->nan, because some external link (I think 
it was on debian, but can not find the link) was pointing to
   http://octave.sourceforge.net/NaN
instead of
   http://octave.sourceforge.net/nan
I was not aware that this can cause a problem, I've removed the symbolic 
link now.
