Well, as statistics is only one part and not the primary reason to use
Octave, it would be very weird to induce NaN-skipping behaviour in
core Octave for all functions. I find the idea of 2 + NaN = 2 to be
very weird, and I wouldn't want this to be default.

So we can't completely overwrite Octave with your package, agreed?
