I did use octave to create Figure 6 in

Stephen Montgomery-Smith, Perturbations of the coupled Jeffery-Stokes 
equations. Journal of Fluid Mechanics, volume 681, (2011), pp. 622-638.

I don't know whether this is enough of a usage to qualify for your web 
page.  I do plan to use octave more in future publications.
