Summary: usb storage doesn't work under OZ/GPE 3.5.4.1 on spitz
           Product: Openembedded
           Version: OpenZaurus 3.5.4.x
          Platform: ARM
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Distributions
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
         QAContact: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'm running OZ/GPE 3.5.4.1 on a spitz. I have a 3GB vfat /dev/hda3 partition
which gets auto-mounted at boot under /media/hdd. I use the GPE 'USB Settings'
tool, choose 'storage' , the 'File-backed' into which I enter

/media/hdd

in an attempt to mount that partition as a USB storage drive, but even when I
am logged in as root the 'Allow write access' option is greyed out. I click OK
and then plug the USB cable from my Z into the PC but no USB drives appear. The
same happens If I choose 'Storage' and then 'CF/SD card reader'. What would it
mount if I had memory cards in both btw? CF and SD should be separate options.
