Hello,
to fill the longer gap of not having made a release we are glad to
have two releases to offer.
BitBake 1.4.4 was released from the stable branch and has one fix
for "rm_work" and thanks to Justin(p) a special handling of SRCDATE/
CVSDATE = "now"
BitBake 1.6 is now a stable branch as well and we have made a 1.6.0
release from this branch already. It has the same amount of features
as BitBake 1.4.4 but it should have a better performance.
Both releases/branches are considered stable but please feel free to
find bugs and report them. The BitBake trunk will be really unstable
during the next weeks as Richard, as his time permits, will integrate
his reworked task and dependency handling. So unless you are a
developer, or love broken stuff stay away from the trunk.
