gettext fails to compile on ubuntu dapper when gcj (the gnu java compiler) is
installed.
The makefile generates an i386 executable since configure detects gcj. Later on
runstrip complains about this executable.
Temporary workaround: uninstall gcj
permanent fix: patch configure ?
