We believe it's fixed in the daily build (again at http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/dists/jaunty/main/installer-lpia/current/images/hd-media/ ) which is newer than the beta image and closer to what will be in the actual supported release. It would be very helpful if you could test the daily image and confirm that it is indeed fixed for you. Each time it tries, it gets to about 95% and then the progress bar disappears for a few seconds before the detection process starts again.
