If you need to install (or reinstall) Jaunty (or Jaunty Remix) in your
machine, and want to preserve your home directory (without backing it
up, though it's recommended), use the live CD/DVD/USB stick, and as long
as you don't mess up with partition resizing, your current home
directory will be nicely preserved in your new system.
