I went to edit a batch file so dragged it into the Delphi 4 IDE that happened to be open.  The project that was open in Delphi promptly closed up hiding the batch file. Strange so tried it again & got the same result. 
 
Seems like a specific design 'feature' in Delphi (after all you can drag about any other file to the IDE for editing) but why would Borland disabling editing for .BAT files?
