Sure can.
However depending on the threading model of the object it can have performance penalties.
 
Objects that exist on a ASP page only require apartment thread model. I think if it is in the session object it needs to be "both" - threading model.
Have a look on MSDN there is quite a bit of stuff about this or it is in the IIS docs.

Hi all.
 
I am just doing some ASP code, and wondered if there is a way to keep a connection to an OCX dll active for a session?
I.e. can you pass the variable to the COM Object to the session object to keep it alive ? and re use it ?
