Stay in Australia then !! No such thing as value for $$ here in NZ for
broadband ! The best deal at the moment is 2Mb down, 192Kb up with 10gig
traffic for $69 mnth.

Paradise.net.nz told me that I could get a static IP address (Xtra will
not do it for home connections) but have also not replied to my email
about it.
It's the only reason I stayed with them to be honest, and if they don't
front up, then I will switch and save myself $20 mth.
As for reliable, well yesterday, my connection went down 3 times in
1/2hr, but it seems ok most of the time.

Subject: [DUG-Offtopic] Recommendations for good Broadband providers in
Auckland

G'day All,
I'm going to be moving to Auckland from Sydney in about a week, and am
looking to connect to broadband not long after settling down there. I'm
looking for value for money, and reliable service, and would prefer a
plan that gives a static IP address. I'm not too fussed if it requires
bundling other phone services if it will secure a better deal.

Any recommendations greatfully received.
