Yes - discussion at the next WWG is desirable - it's now on the 2/12/08 agenda. W.r.t. porting OFED/Linux apps, consider current openSM and future openSM enhancements which currently are a royal pain to get into the Windows world. OFED Infiniband diagnostic are another large set of programs which are desired in the Windows world. Although OFED APIs are not 'central' goals of the WinVerbs design, there are indeed very useful OFED userspace applications which really do not need to be completely recreated for Windows. Compile-n-go is likely a non-started although reducing the porting time could be a huge win for many. Should I also mention those 'user' constructed IB applications which just might be desirable to interoperate between Linux and Windows? Looking forward to ongoing discussions here and at the WWG meeting.
