I wonder how many other people like me found they couldn't vote despite
registering keys? I bet there were people disenfranchised by that key
system, I saw other e-mails to that effect.

I think as a community we need to understand whether there was interest
in the election or if the application kept folks from casting their
ballots before folks get wound up about the numbers.

I would like to suggest something regarding the casting of ballots for
the recent election and changes to the constitution.

The system allows the administrator to see whether or not a core
contributor registered a key within the voting time frame.

We should then try to determine if a core contributor submitted a key
and tried to vote and could not or if they changed their mind about
casting a vote (unlikely). If it is that they could not cast their
ballots due to the system then that needs to be addressed. Perhaps
extending the time to those persons and offer a less complex way to vote.

In summary, I am suggestion a re-ballot (extend it for 7 days) for core
contributors that could not submit their ballots.
