I would like to take a minute to thank those candidates that have taken
the time to write a brief disclosure stating their affiliations, and
particularly for the fellow Sun employees that have clarified the nature
of their relationship and how it relates to their management.
I personally feel a lot better (as a Sun employee myself) about voting
for a fellow employee who has taken the time to explore this and address
potential conflict-of-interest issues in advance of the elections. (I
think it would be a disservice to vote for anyone who had not done this
ahead of time, and might thus be subjecting themselves to possible
disciplinary action.)
Again, thanks. For those on the ballot that haven't already done this,
I highly encourage you to do so. If nothing else, you want to make sure
you're not going to be in trouble with your management if you do get
elected!
