Hi,

now I am able to breath again after Cebit.....

BTW: I am also able/willing to give an interview.

Short BIO/Affiliation:

I am working for a German government-owned research institute (Fraunhofer FOKUS)
that has no commercial interest in OpenSolaris.

I am working with SunOS since 23 years (in fact I worked on the first Sun that
came to Europe). Before I started to work for FOKUS, I was working at
H.Berthold AG - a phototypesetting company - and was involved with driver,
filesystem and application development for SunOS.

I am a long time OpenSource supporter and I am still publishing a big
collection
of OpenSource software.

I was in the OpenSolaris pilot since day one (September 2004).
I started the first OpenSolaris based distribution (SchilliX) and I am
interested in the emancipation of OpenSolaris to make it self-hosting
(allowing OpenSolaris to be compiled on OpenSolaris).

I brought up the idea of a "OpenSolaris constitution" and an OpenSolaris
"steering commitee" in November 2004 already. My goal for OpenSolaris is
that there should be a community driven development. My goal for the OGB is
that the OGB should act as a mediator that helps to arbitrate between different
groups inside the OpenSolaris community as well as between the OpenSolaris
community and the Sun management.
