vaf to update election calendar to: (23:59 Feb 14)

plocher: add warning: that folks won't be able to
help you on holiday weekend. vaf accept.
        vaf will send message today.

5, Michelle done
6 & 7 will need to be done closer to election.
8 . no time to meet
9. new draft of sent by jimw
there is a slightly different version in email vs com-ent.
VAF likes the new wording, Plocher wants the "shoulds"
in a process document, not in the constitution. Jim says
he'll change the constitution to be more absolute, to avoid
        a separate document.

Valerie & Plocher suggested straw poll, Michelle wants more
discussion. Plocher chose to withdraw his comments, because
being done is better than not, and we're running out of time.

Electoral process discussion:
(highlights & summary, as I was participating as well)

Peter: seems we're back where we're started, lots of back and forth.

Plocher: if you're in a group that has already acknowledged you,
then you can have a membership application?

Michelle: maybe the facilitators could act in the role of
                acting as a committee?
peter: making groups do work that's not their problem
        plocher: disagrees
Valerie: why not just allow people who want to, vote?
plocher: it's a meritocracy, if you haven't contributed, you
                can't vote.

lots of discussion, all seem to agree that the downside
of the current constitution is that we're forced to be
a member of electorate, even if you don't want to be.

Michelle wants to see this get closed off line ASAP.

Plocher & Tribble suggest a straw poll, others don't
        seem quite ready.

straw poll: how does one become eligible to become a member
of the electorate? Plocher's proposal is that once
you have some other authorization , you can sign
up on your own to become a member of the electorate.
Tribble wanted to go with another body still to review
membership application. straw poll went with plocher

Plocher will write up proposal for final approval

Lynn extended an invitation to some OGB members to webcast, but
clarified it was just to attend, there wouldn't be a
guaranteed interaction with any of the Oracle user
group people. Maybe something else can be arranged later.

we (OGB) need to have all of our documents done, reviewed, updated &
        accepted by February 25th.

We agreed that the Censure, Suspension & Expulsion Process document
is done, as well as the Policy on private OGB Discussions. VAF
will mark them as such on the next agenda.
