Thanks everyone for all your support for the OpenSolaris Kiva Team.
Here is my roughly-monthly-when-I get-round-to-it status report on the
Project for you and the OGB.

To date, we:
* Have 18 members of the team making micro-loans
* Made 96 loans to entrepreneurs in difficult economic circumstances
* Invested $2,500 in the project
*  Is touching lives in 22 countries[1]
* Has made the most loans in Peru and Ghana

The US Bookstore[2]:
* Has been credited with just under $90 in commissions so far from
OpenSolaris members choosing to buy through it
* Was used for 32 purchases
* Has sold 19 OpenSolaris books - and one Kindle

Our Bookstore sponsor is considering what the best destinations for
the $25 Kiva gift vouchers will be. They don't want to just give them
away; they would rather they were used to recognise contribution to
OpenSolaris. Suggestions for a smart scheme welcome (as long as it
doesn't look like a competition!)

Why not go invite a friend to join the team[3] right now?

S.

[2] To give the Lending Project Bookstore credit for your Amazon
purchases of any kind, use one of these links:

http://astore.amazon.com/opensolaris-20
or just add ?tag=opensolaris-20 to the end of any Amazon.Com URL (or
&tag=opensolaris-20 if there is already a ? in the URL). Would anyone
like to write a Firefox bookmarklet that does this?
