Well, not all have expired yet, and the remainder are only a few days over.
And typically we've not enforced the letter of the law on expiry dates (it
also seems a little harsh to do so given that we don't have a good mechanism
in place yet to handle expiry - we clearly need to do better, and I see Jim
has been looking at that as well).

My own interpretation of the letter of the constitution (which should therefore
not be taken as official OGB policy) is that should the number of Core
Contributors fall below 3 then we follow section 7.12; one option would be
for the OGB to appoint some new Core Contributors. We're going to get to
that state anyway in September - if one of the remaining 3 were to resign
beforehand then it triggers the process early. If the current and recently
expired core contributors were to present us with the suggested list of
Core Contributors for us to appoint then it would simplify matters. In other
words, I suggest you vote on renewals and possibly new Core Contributors,
and bring that list to the OGB.
