Hi,

The Constitution provides pretty detailed information about holding core
contributor elections. But, it makes it seem a bit harder than it really
is.

Basically, individuals are nominated for core contributor on that
community's mailing list (in your case storage-discuss). Search the
email archives for 'core contributor' keyword for examples. The
nomination is open for 72 hours and 3 existing core contributors to that
community must give a +1 and no -1 ones within that 72 hours for the
nomination to pass.

This is outlined in much greater detail here:

http://opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/governance/#ARTICLE_VII.__Community_Groups

(see sections 7.7 and 7.8 at the above link for generic criteria for CCs
and Contributors)

http://opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/governance/#ARTICLE_VIII.__Community_Group_Voting_Procedures

(see section 8.4 for detail about the +1/-1 voting used for addition of CC)

Thanks for helping to get the Storage CG grants updated, much appreciated!

Hope this helps,
Michelle
