I think it is an incredible amount of spin to suggest that the following
has much to do with Oracle's commitment to OpenSolaris.

The STAR ARC case has been in review for 5 years, much before Oracle,
and the employee working on the integration process has left the
company.

Clearly the ARC case has enough issues that it seems appropriate to wait
until Oracle can have more of a say.  I would suggest that, since the
ARC case hasn't approved yet, that it would have been more clear to say
"an unknown commitment to STAR" rather than OpenSolaris.
