If you were to go off on your own, without interacting with the Advocacy CG, and come up with the "OpenSolaris Award For The Worst-Looking Hack", I'd wonder why you felt the need to bypass the part of our community that was responsible for coordinating and governing such things - even as I devoutly prayed that you wouldn't look at any of *my* code :-) In my mind it boils down to "why bother delegating to a community group if you aren't actually willing to let them make any decisions?" -John
