Your team's roadmap and plans are of no concern to the OGB, unless
you are making and following those plans in the OpenSolaris community.
The OpenSolaris community cannot be expected to wait for or plan around
activities happening behind closed doors that they have no knowledge of,
so if you want to shape OpenSolaris, you need to participate in it all
the time, not just when you see a conflict with your roadmap.
The correct first step for you to take is not to appeal to ARC or OGB
to stop this, but to join the OpenSolaris Drivers community in a discussion
on driver-discuss to resolve this.
Thus, I see no reason for the OpenSolaris Governing Board to take any
action on this matter to stop the integration of the MFI driver.
(Of course, I am only one of 7 voting members, and can be swayed by
compelling arguments, so this isn't a binding OGB decision, just an
expression of the current opinion of one member.)
