Hey, Hopefully some of you will have already picked up on Alan's announcement of the official calendar for the OGB elections this year. If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to read the following link -
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/ogb-discuss/2008-January/004063.html The important dates that are coming up are - Nominations Open Mon Feb 18th Nominations Close Mon Mar 3rd (24:00 hrs) Submissions for Constitutional Amendments Close Mon Mar 3rd (24:00 hrs) As you'll notice, there are 2 important details - nominations for the OpenSolaris Governing Board 2008, and submissions for proposed amendments to the Constitution. Nominations must be from an existing core contributor, but can be any registered OpenSolaris participant. All core contributors (Members) are invited to submit proposals for Constitutional amendments. On top of this, *now* is a really great time to update your Community Group grants if you haven't already. I'd encourage you to refresh your lists so you can get the active participants in your Community Group a vote in this years election. Remember, only *core contributors* [1] are allowed to vote in the elections. You can check the grants allocated by your Community Group at - http://poll.opensolaris.org Send me a mail if you would like to add new Members (having voted within your Community Group) and I'll process as soon as I can.
