Furthermore, in the interest of the community, I think it better if
intended motions were published ahead of time, to facilitate community
discussion in advance. While sometimes these discussions can be
counter-productive, I think it is probably better for everyone involved
if the OGB at least has some understanding of how the community feels
about a particular course of action, before voting on said course of action.
It may also help avoid controversy by at least giving the semblance of
being discussed openly, even if ultimately the meeting where the
decision is not itself open.
Attempts to sidestep controversy by keeping motions private until the
time they are put forth are IMO more likely to just delay controversy
than prevent it.
