The statement in the post you referred to is incorrect and has been repeated elsewhere off-list, which is why I sent out the clarification. > I guess the difference is that in your case you explicitly resigned? No. I was a CC of just the Tools CG. When I resigned from the Tools CG as a Core Contributor I also by definition resigned as an OpenSolaris Member as I only had a CC grant from the Tools CG. If I had another CC grant from another CG then I would have remained a Member as long as I held that additional grant. This is all set out in Article IV Sections 4.2 & 4.3 of the Constitution. "persons shall be admitted as Members of the OpenSolaris Community upon accepting the designation of Core Contributor for one or more OpenSolaris Groups" "A Member's membership shall be terminated upon the expiration of all prior grants of Core Contributor status or upon his or her earlier resignation, removal, or death." -- Alan Burlison --
