I don't know of any reason why that should not continue, and I didn't
intend anything in my message to imply that it shouldn't.

The Solaris x86 driver team has already ported the Radeon DRM module to
Solaris, and are testing/debugging it now, unfortunately they haven't done
a code drop yet either. (I keep asking them to participate in OpenSolaris
and thought they were approaching the driver community, but don't see
that they've done so yet, though there are some mentions of a project
proposal in the driver-discuss mailing list archives.)
