I think that Max's work is accurate, and he's taught many classes at SunU 
on writing device drivers...for that matter Alta Elstad is the one who 
re-worked "Writing Device Drivers".

We definitely don't need our own gate, far from it. I only want to see 
some control over the actual code that gets putback, from our community 
before it goes to ARC and/or c-team, or however that will work in 
OpenSolaris as a community.
