For the below text from the notes "What is OpenSolaris? -- OpenSolaris 3/08, Indiana -- OpenSolaris 9/08, Jerico -- etc." When this was first posted on Indiana list, there have been sufficient comments about why not to have "The OpenSolaris distro" :( Please re-consider if this is really the direction to take. Am skeptical if one can propose this to the community members now, come-up with consensus and then work on any of branding activities in next one week (Indiana release was announced for end of Oct). If a "team" works offline on the direction and comes to the community with a considerably realized proposal, especially when there was no consensus on it, it might do more harm than good. Does calling Indiana "The OpenSolaris Distro" expected to help the OpenSolaris community !? Maybe I have taken more than necessary space here and am hibernating away... :) -Shiv ps: with a community that is very emotional about which shell to use, /me shudders considering a mis-step about branding !
