Actually, that isn't a problem.  I didn't redefine Hp, just created two new
entities to take the place of it.  Wp and Vp are both Hp, but Hp are not Wp
or Vp.  It is entirely appropriate to construct Hp by adding Vp and Wp
together, and to calculate Vp and Wp from Hp.  Hp remains unchanged
regardless.
