John, as always, makes a great point.

All the d20 companies create a great market for the
freelance author. And what one publisher may love,
another may hate. For example, "First Edition Feel" is
our motto. Because of that, Necromancer would out of
hand reject any Spelljammer or dual-wielding drow NPC
adventure. Even if it was the best one ever written.
Just like we would reject the coolest game world
submission. That just isnt what we do. On the other
hand, maybe Atlas or Green Ronin or Fiery Dragon or
Nightshift or any of the 20 or more other companies
might love it. This is, seriously, a "freelancer
paradise."
