A number of folks have asked me over the last few months when I was going to
release the next version of a Windows Hypertext Help version of the d20 SRD.
I had been putting it off because I expected changes to the SRD as it
approached finalization. Since there haven't been any in a couple of
months, I spent the weekend and built a new version, which is now available
for download at http://www.petrodatasource.com/d20/d20srd.chm.

The file is 1.7mb, and currently lacks an index, but I did enable the
full-text search option so you can quickly find the topics you're looking
for. I also converted all of the preformatted text into HTML tables (though
some of the conversions were more successful than others).

What I am looking for right now is feedback. There are a LOT of formatting
changes that need to be made before I release the third and final phase of
this project, but with 2,100 individual topics I just don't have eyes for
them all. I'd like to standardize the titles a bit more (Ryan did a very
good, but not a perfect, job of using HTML to indicate the titles of topics,
but there were a few exceptions. Also, I need to build a decent keyword
index. If anybody wants to lend a hand on this, I'd be happy to have the
assistance.

Oh, and yes, I do have plans to make an OGL-only version, so I can stuff in
the character creation rules, and an HTML-only version, for handhelds and
non-Windows machines. My goal is to turn it into a quick-reference tool for
players and the DM as an adjunct (not replacement) to the rulebooks.
