First, apologies to those of you who might have posted questions for me that
have gone unanswered. Holidays, GenCon SoCal, the flu, more holidays,
snowstorms, a major meeting with distributors, and Winter Fantasy (next
week) have all kept my nose to the grindstone over the past month or two,
and I've been neglecting my communicative duties as a result. After Winter
Fantasy, I should get back to the boards on a regular basis. If you have a
question for me that I've ignored, please bump or repost it as we roll into
February.

That said, I did want to drop in and let you know about the forthcoming
revision to the d20 license.

We're posting a new revision to the d20 License and SRD this week. We've
been listening to feedback from licensees about the license, and have
incorporated their comments to clarify the license and SRD and correct a
couple of mistakes.

In particular, we've fixed the error concerning the size of the d20 logo,
clarified issues concerning cure periods for different types of breaches,
and added a section detailing and expanding on how to refer to the game
system in a covered product--an issue that has generated some confusion in
the past. Several other sections have been reorganized for clarity. These
are all minor changes--the only significant addition is that no Covered
Product may use the term "Player's Handbook" in it's title.

For the first time in quite a while, we've also overhauled the FAQs. That
should also clarify things a bit.

Beyond these clarifications and corrections, there really aren't any
substantive changes. As always, any licensee with questions or concerns is
welcome to contact me or Andy through the d20 General boards or directly.

As always, thanks to Andy Smith for a terrific job of keeping these complex
documents up to date!
