Whoa ...
Spent more time last night than I care to think about getting acquainted
with "rec.games.frp.dnd" on usenet. Wading through over 5000 posts,
including those on OGF, copyrights, etc and reading Ryans's comments helped
me understand a lot more about the "whats, whys, and hows" of this effort
and what it is supposed to accomplish.
I would recommend that if people are still struggling to understand this
issue (and WotC's point-of-view) that they check out the newsgroup. Beware
though - you will wade through a >LOT< of BS to get to the good stuff.
Alternately, I am working to incorporate as much of what was said as was
relevant into the FAQ - will give a shout when I am complete. BTW Ryan, are
you as much of a "usenet-junkie" as you seem to be, or are you just using
this as a marketing tool?
