I was wondering if anyone has gone through the spell chapter, and
organized the spells into separate lists for each of the particular
schools ?

What I liked about the 2e PHB is that it provided a listing in the back
of the book, of all spells in a particular school (not the spell
descriptions, but just spellnames), and made it easy to find all
Conjuration spells, or all Necromancy spells.

As well, I've had NPCs that I've created where I've put in the NPC
description that he has access to any Necromancy spell up to say level
2, has access to a number (but not all) of Necromancy spells of 3rd
level, and has a couple of Necromancy spells of 4th level, rather than
going through and creating an actual spell list for the character.

Right now I'm in the process of creating new domains for my setting, and
it's hard to come up with proper domain spells for say the Charm domain
when you have to search for spells that would fit under the Charm
domain. Yes, I could use some of the various domains that people have
posted their versions of new domains, on say DND-L, but because I want
to try to create my own original versions, I don't want to have the
ethical or moral obligation to credit them for using the version of the
domain they posted (even if it turns out to be exactly the same).

If not, I'll probably start creating new lists for each school, but as
I've already tried doing this, I can tell it'll take quite a while.
