One thing I find ironic about this discussion (and I know I'm using the
word 'irony' improperly) is that there is, or was, a persistent
subthread in most of the fan newsgroups/websites about how the OGL would
let the eeeevil corporations STEAL all your k00l stuph that you put on
your web site (in between the scanned Elmore paintings and "Playing
Half-Elf Bladesingers In The World Of Darkness" netbooks) and then make
profit$$$ off it without paying you!

(Along with, of course, "The OGL is a total scam job from WOTC and no
REAL game company will fall for it!")
