(oh fun! time to make fun of everything I have ever posted)

Ryan,

I'm sorry, but I feel that the Open Gift License, while a noble endeavor, is far
too complicated for the non-professional gift giver. I suggest that you and your team
rewrite the license so that more shoppers will be able to effectively utilize it. Just
to give you a frame of reference, I have been a shopper and gift-giver for about 27
years and *I* had trouble understanding the terms. Perhaps you all could hit the malls
and do a comprehension survey before finalizing this draft.

And to all you newbies out there: Do not use this license for your gifts this
year without consulting an attorney. Here are some tips for using the Open Gift
License on gifts:

1. Buy the gifts before you worry about understanding the terms of the Open Gift
License. What good will the license do you if you end up saving all of your shopping
for the last minute?

2. Get an attorney _and_ an accountant. They can give you great advice on the new
OGL as well as on: understanding the fine print on department store ads and rebates,
managing holiday debt, and your rights as a customer when you need to make exchanges.

3. If you see Faust in a Santa suit, RUN.

4. If you will be giving someone a bong(tm) for the holidays, do not purchase it at
your local comic store, especially if there is garbage in the parking lot.

Good luck with shopping!

Buffy
