It may actually cross into d20-land, but I'll go ahead
and ask and see.
I'm gonna use actual names for my example so as to
make myself clear and precise.

I am working on a project in which magic, for X and Y
reason, does not work the same way as in the core SRD
rules. The variation is minimal, but it has an effect
on various items surrounding magic and spellcasting,
the biggest one being Domains.
I took the SRD Domains and modified them in order to
fit with the new nature of magic in my project. That
mean rewriting some of the granted powers to match the
new rules and even chaning some of the domain spells
listed for others that match the project's setting
better.
I have done this as well with domains taken from 3rd
party d20 publishers as well.
Now, as I understand this, under the OGL I can do
this, right? As long as I include the copyright in
Section 15 for the original material I have just
modified I should be ok, right?

Second example, since magic works in a particular way,
only the main spellcasting class gets to wield magic;
bards, rangers, paladins and druids all lose that
ability. Because of this I am redesigning these
classes so as to include them in my project but
without their spellcasting abilities. This basically
means rewriting heavily the classes, adding abilities
here and there to make up for the loss of magic. I am,
however, keeping the same name, as I am keeping the
basic concept of the class the same, just changing the
mehcanics.
Can I do this under the OGL? I think yes, but just
wanna check.

I guess my next question, inappropiate for this forum,
is if I can then put all these
originally-from-the-SRD-but-now-heavily-modified parts
into a tome and then use the d20 license.
For example, I look at the alternate ranger class
created by Monte Cook and it is obviously a
modification of the SRD ranger class, it is OGC and it
includes the d20 logo.

I would appreciate your help as far as you can; once I
am a bit clearer I can then take up the question to
the d20 list.

Thanks.
