Is it against the contract to have playtesters abide by a Non disclosure
agreement during playtesting? That puts an extra restriction on the
OGL, but on the other hand I know that most companies have some form of
non-disclosure agreement for their playtesters-- or is this a gray area
?

No, I don't see how it would. Basically, what a NDA says is, "if you
promise not to reveal anything we are going to give you, you can get an
early copy of the manuscript".

It's just like, "if you don't describe character generation or how to
apply experience, you can use the d20 logo".

A potential playtester can choose not to sign an NDA, but that just
means he won't be playtesting the product.
