This option is intended for individual attacks and could perhaps be listed
under the 'Damage Settings' tab in the Attack editor menu. The option could
appear as...
"Restart Battle-ready meter at %: (0[empty],1,2,3,4,5,..... 100[full])"
0% of course would be the default setting and 100% would mean that the hero is
ready immediately after using an attack. This way, ready times for heroes and
enemies won't have to be dictated by their SPD rating alone.
I feel this idea could give game authors another angle to work with for battles
in general and can potentially make battles faster-paced and more challenging.
For example, it could give authors the option to allow heroes shorter ready
times after using a standard attack and longer after using an MP based
attack/spell. The same can be done for enemies too, AND authors can use this
option to make enemies a bit more unpredictable.
There are so many other ideas I can think of in terms of utilizing this option
and in my opinion, if it wouldn't be too hard to implement, this would make a
great addition to a near-future release (Ypsiliform or the one after, perhaps?
